Fresh Music consists of Indian original songs and music made by Punjabi, Bengali and other South Indian musical artists. The website Worth TV selected Fresh Music to air on national television’s most popular talk shows including ‘News’ and ‘MSN’, which is sourced from India. The website has become popular with the masses over the past three months since it was launched on 4 July. The show has become popular with a number of youngsters who are looking for something interesting to watch on television. Unlike many Bollywood movies, the songs in the show do not have any mention of any religion or caste. The songs are all about love and family.
The first episode of the show focused on ‘Bhumair’ which was a song written by Shazahnath Bhola and played by Prem Chopra. The song was inspired by the real life incident in which Bhumair (played by Prem Chopra) saved his brother from a burning building. The song has gone on to become one of the most famous songs from the movie. This was followed by ‘Chhotelal’ which was played by Manish Malhotra and used in the movie Babu saabza. Apart from the bhojpuri songs, the movie also features an Indian musical drama, called ‘Aabara’ which is based on the life of Subhas Chandra Bhowal and is a great comedy film.
Fresh Music from India has also featured many popular songs in the category of pop songs. The most popular of these is the hit single from the film called ‘Facts’ by Jai Uttal. The other top earning hit from the same category is the song ‘Phirni Do Yaar’ from the movie ‘Dhoom Reloaded’. While the pop songs are mainly played on television, the hip hop version of the same songs can also be heard on various radio stations.
Fresh Music from India has come up with a plethora of talent in form of both soloists and groups. Among the soloists, there is Ravi Teja, who has two hit singles ‘Mannana’ and ‘Chamana’. His former band, the Tiger Electronics has now formed a new band called the Neelkanth aka Neelkanth Oli. Then there is the supergroup consisting of DJ First Class, Suraj B, Pappu, and Mr. X. They have been performing regularly at almost every famous club in the country since their formation in 1997. Other acts that have made their presence felt in this field are Sukhwinder Singh, Manish Malhotra, Ravi Dankhan, Ashok Patki, and Nitin Thapar.
