Kick-starting a brand new journey with a huge bang! Shoot starts with #Jogirasa #BhumikaSara! Director Kushan Nandy also posted on his official Facebook page.
Bollywood’s leading ladies are all set to join a much anticipated dance routine in the upcoming movie Jogira. The role of Babu has been casted by actress Prabha Soni who is best known for her memorable scenes in Baahubali. Director Kushan Nandy had finalised a talented ensemble cast to play the role of Jogira, Babu and Lucknowite, Thiagaraj. The role of Babu was played by Prem Chopra.
Jogira is an epic story of a young woman, Jogira, who after being left alone in a train to fetch her father’s belongings opts to climb a speeding locomotive to reach her destination. But along the way she encounters a mysterious man who takes Jogira to an alternate world where she falls in love with a prince. The prince and Jogira have to put their differences aside to defeat the evil plaguing their land and save the prince from Jogira’s rival, Babu. Prem Chopra along with Sunny Depp and Jason Flemyng are the main leads of the Jogira.
This movie promises to be an exciting sequel of the very successful Mankatha. Director Nandy is busy in pre-production on the third part of the film and is also co-writing the screenplay with Sunil Tripathi. The first part was directed by S.S. Rajamouli and the second by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The creative team of Neeraj Ghayani, Subodh Gupta and Priyadarshan Sahoo has worked on the script since last year and is in the final stages of pre-production. Prem Chopra is also a key player in the film Jogira which is slated for a late 2021 release.
Another interesting aspect of Jogira is that the story revolves around the ‘caste system’ prevalent in India. Jogira is the story of a girl, Jogira, who is assigned her first day as a maid in the rich Rajah’s household. While training under her new seniors she meet new friends and fight with others to prove herself. The interesting part of the film Jogira is that it gives a rare glimpse into the life of a female member of the upper castes at Rajah’s palace.
Director Shimit Amin and starring Naomi Harris, Sneha Ramakienko and Kadeer Mahamulienko; Jogira is the prefect film to watch if you are looking forward to some high energy, suspense and adventure. Jogira sara ra is the start of a brand new trilogy that is in the works and I can’t wait to see the next one! The three films are: Jogira by Neeraj Gopal Varma, Babalie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aruvikkuzhi by S.S. Rajamouli. Directed by Shimit Amin, the upcoming Jogira and the next two films have the look and feel of a Shimit Amin directed production.
